Two families, the Beckmans and the Boissets, each respectively known and experienced in the tequila and wine world, were looking to create a unique product that would express their love for Mexico and expertise in their craft. Thus Casa Obsidiana, the word’s most beautiful tequila was born.
Each bottle was crafted by a contemporary Mexican artist Adán Paredes and then embellished with an obsidian relic, symbolizing the land they came from. We were challenged to create the world that would let these vessels become the iconic visual of the brand.
That’s how we came up with the extremely minimal branding (a tonal tamper strip and small back label only) and created luxury boxes inspired by museum’s hallways that follow that same philosophy and showcase each collectible bottle as the work of art that they are.
